The Great Commission in the 21st Century: Sharing the Gospel and Restoring the Traditional Family—the Bedrock of All Cultures—to a Dying Tribe in Bolivia
GAINESVILLE, FL – October 4, 2024 – A new book from missionary/anthropologist Gilbert R. Prost
In Created in the Image of God: Missionary to the Chácobo of Bolivia Ignites a Revolution Without Guns, a missionary brings the Gospel to a dying tribe in Bolivia, South America. In the process, he restores God’s transcendence rooted in the covenantal relationship between husband and wife. Can this miraculous transformation among God’s imagers be spread to the ends of the earth in A Revolution Without Guns before Jesus’ imminent return?
Part memoir and part academic, Created in the Image of God deals with anthropologic/linguistic issues related to Bible translation in endemic Bible-less cultures still needing to hear the Gospel.
“Gil’s book,” Roberts says, “is more relevant today than at any other time. Look at the relentless attacks on the traditional family. The husband-wife covenantal relationship is the foundation of society; without it, there is little hope for future generations.”

Lorilyn Roberts completed and edited his book—a promise she made when God impressed upon her the importance of Gil’s work and its impact on the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
