Eighth Dimension – Frequency by Lorilyn Roberts follows Chumana, a girl who becomes involved in a government communications program in hopes of reuniting with her father. Chumana is constantly worried about her mother, who often leaves their home at night. Her mother’s dementia is worsening with each episode. However, after Chumana rescues a cat and brings it home, her mother’s health begins to improve, and she starts remembering things from her past. Chumana also receives a package containing radio communication instruments from a secret government agency, which instructs her to master ham radio and Morse code by her eighteenth birthday.
However, her newfound obsession with frequencies creates a rift between her and her friends: Judd, who has shown romantic interest in her, and Shale, who conducts a Bible study that leads Chumana to question the origins of humanity. As everyone around her, including her mother, becomes more spiritual, Chumana becomes increasingly convinced of the existence of extraterrestrials, hoping to meet her father.
Eighth Dimension: Frequency is one of the most intriguing stories I have ever read. It expertly blurs the lines between good and evil, keeping readers on the edge of their seats with its twists and mysterious revelations. Chumana’s experiences of receiving information from various sources, encountering strange situations, and having vivid dreams filled with cryptic messages add to the suspense and complexity.
Lorilyn Roberts’ storytelling is thought-provoking, grappling with the mysteries of time, extraterrestrial influences, and divine truth. She intertwines faith, science fiction, and personal growth, encouraging readers to question the origins of mankind. Did we come from a superior alien race that left us on Earth and has yet to return, were we created by God, or are we a product of evolution? I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in faith-based sci-fi, metaphysical mysteries, and the exploration of life’s ultimate truths.
