I had the pleasure of being a guest on Dr. Bruce Oliver’s podcast, Talks for Christ. The link is below, but as a teaser, I thought I would include one of his questions in written form for you to enjoy.
I highly recommend Dr. Bruce Oliver’s podcast. Talks for Christ is listed as one of the top 100 Christian podcasts in the country. Pastor Oliver was a delightful person to work with; he has a wide variety of guests that listeners will enjoy, and he keeps his interviews under thirty minutes—the perfect length to enjoy over lunch or on the way to work.
We talked about everything from writing to homeschooling, ham radio, missions, family, and much more. Here’s a tease.
PASTOR OLIVER: Lorilyn Roberts, as a servant of the Lord, could you explain what keeps your fire burning each day—you know, what is the passion of your heart?
LORILYN: Even as a teenager, the one thing I clung to was that Jesus is coming back. I remember Hal Lindsey’s book and movie, The Late Great Planet Earth, and its impact on me. That yearning for the Lord’s return has never left me, and now, as I see everything happening in the world, I realize His return is closer than ever. God tells us to be busy doing His work until His return, and that’s my passion: to write for His glory until His appearing, or God takes me home.

Word of Encouragement
All the things we see happening are signs that the Lord’s return is near, and so we need to be busy doing the Lord’s work, whatever form that takes. I would encourage listeners to look for the good even in the darkness because the Kingdom of God is here, and the Kingdom of Heaven is coming soon. Don’t lose heart!
