Earth’s Earliest Ages by G. H. Pember
I found theologian Pember’s interpretation of the gap theory very helpful, as well as his thoughts on how Satan has used false religions, modern spiritualism, and theosophy to corrupt God’s Truth before the return of Christ.
Stolen Seed by Karin Wilkinson
Before her conversion, Ms. Wilkinson was abducted by aliens (fallen angels) and shares her testimony and story.
Before Genesis by Donna Howell and Dr. Thomas Horn
Ms. Howell discusses worldwide archeological findings and how they point to a civilization that predates Adam and Eve.

The Book of Enoch
I found reading source material to be extremely helpful in understanding Genesis. While not on the same level of authenticity as the Bible, references to the book of Enoch are made in New Testament writings. The book’s comprehensive nature explains a lot that is not easily understood from reading only Genesis 6.
Corrupting the Image 3 by Dr. Douglas Hamp
Dr. Hamp discusses in detail the worship of the early Mesopotamian civilizations and how their pagan worship harkened back to the Old Testament. He traces the history of their mythological gods to the Nephilim and the Watchers that God put over the seventy nations in Genesis. These Watchers assigned by God turned the people away from worshipping God and corrupted them into worshipping themselves, which translated into the worship of Satan by mythological names. Dr. Hamp also brings the story forward to who the dragon is in Revelation 12.
The Invisible War by Donald Grey Barnhouse
Pastor Barnhouse summarizes all the other books I read about the Great War and refers to it as The Invisible War. The most significant point I took away from Barnhouse’s book is that the war is not between man and God but between Satan and God and Satan’s desire to receive human worship. Barnhouse shows how Satan corrupted humans into worshipping him through false religions, deception, and occult worship. Barnhouse points out, however, that humans are sinners themselves, and not all sinners will choose to worship Satan. Thus, in this divided house of chaos, we see the imprint of Satan’s twisted works on Earth as the prince of the power of the air.

Biggest Takeaway
My biggest takeaway from working on Mr. Prost’s book is that Satan has been deceiving humankind all over the world ever since missionaries ventured out of their comfort zones to share the Gospel per the Great Commission.
Historically, sometimes, before these missionaries even had a chance to share the Gospel or the Good News of Jesus Christ, these illiterate societies had been corrupted by the evil one through worshipping nature, embracing paganism, and creating gods made with their hands.
Spreading the Gospel is hampered unless these pagan societies are willing to embrace the covenantal relationship between husband and wife and build their tribal identity on God’s law rather than man’s law. In anthropology and Bible translation, establishing this covenantal foundation first has been problematic for missionaries who have not embraced it, resulting in dozens, if not hundreds, of Bible translations rendered useless.
